Community Response Program
This voluntary program is designed to provide individual families with supports to identify their strengths and to ensure their success in meeting their goals.
This playgroup is open to all children. There will be special focus on infants and their caregivers with sensory stimulation and movement experience through appropriate toys and props. Washburn County Birth to Three Coordinator is present at each group.
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren
3rd Monday of every month: 5pm-7pm
Come join other grandparents, have dinner and enjoy a speaker while you learn about the joys and challenges of raising a grandchild. Childcare provided.

Library Fun for Little Ones
Birchwood Schools on Tuesday during school year: 9:30am-10:15am
Shell Lake Library on Thursdays 10:30am-11:15am
Library Fun for Little Ones is a reading readiness program for preschoolers, held every week in two communities during the year
Open center provides an opportunity to drop in and enjoy unstructured play and talk informally with staff
Participants, staff and area agencies discuss, learn, and share ideas and experiences to enrich parenting skills. Art and play materials are available to children of all ages
